by magda on Feb.26, 2010, under FUNDRAISING ART-AUCTION FOR L'AQUILA AND HAITI

Devon home of the Christie family of Glyndebourne. Overlooking the estuary to the sea. Beautiful Italian garden with many rare plants and woodland walk. The gardens have undergone an exciting restoration with a new plant sales area. They have now embarked on officially entering the walled kitchen garden and permaculture to a fully organic status. Highland cattle and calves, pigs, pets and sheep.

With the generous support of Hector Christie the owner of Tapeley Park Manor, and many others ArtMinerva and the Gesar Foundation present a fund raising day out full of creative activities for adults and children.

The event will take place at the beautiful historic mansion located in the heart of TAPELEY PARK GARDENS, INSTOW, NR BIDEFORD, N. DEVON Families will be spoilt for choice with loads of entertainment, music, face painting, performance art workshops including master portrait drawing and more!

The evening will end with the ArtMinerva gala art auction previously held in London Belgrave Square and Venice Italy.

The full program still has to be established. For now we can only reveal a few little secrets of particular activities.

We are expecting renowned artists and musicians to share their experiences and skills during their workshop.

Some of the artwork collected for the auction was donated by painters of international reputation. There will also be media coverage of the event and a number of VIP guests.

We are getting together in order to raise funds to help to recreate the spirit of life, hope and happiness in the hearts of those tragically touched by the earthquake in L’Aquila and, more recently, Haiti.

This will definitely be a day not to be missed
