Jan Żyliński – kindly offered the venue for the Golden Horseman Theatre first production of Kobieta Pracujaca at his own London residence -The White House.
The premiere of ‘Kobieta Pracujaca’ was a first of a GHT series of performances planned to be staged in both English and Polish. The play sets out to raise funds to support the Irena Kwiatkowska’s foundation – FIK and The Polish Stage Seniors Artist Hospice at Skolimow. A proportion of the funds collected in future after each performance of the original play at any time and location internationally are also pledged to be added to the budget supporting the above listed causes.
The GHT plans is to liaise with venues around the world for the purpose of exchanging ideas and inviting others to collaborate in this creative and fund raising project.
The GHT will also organise a rare workshop opportunity to work closely with an experienced mentors and focus intensively on developing a specific work. The workshops are designed to teach acting to beginners and to help professionals strengthen their skills. Classes will be run in English and Polish in order to help unite artists of different origin. Our workshops will be visited by recognisable theatre and movie stars, and run by established directors and academics. We feel that this diversity will not only unite actors but could also help many who are struggling with the language barrier. The workshops will focused on acting, script writing, stage technical skill, designing and artistic skill and the theatre administrative duties in general.
The workshop attendees will have the benefit of performing alongside professional actors in a showcase on the Golden Horseman Theatre stage. This can be very beneficial to any potential future career.
The MMlondonstudios at the Golden Horseman Theatre is committed to continuing to provide the very best that theatre has to offer for our audiences.
